Umbria offers plenty of opportunities for exploration: following routes in the valleys, in the hills and by the lakes you can enjoy your free time with a combination of nature, sport and relaxation.

If you wish to visit this area a good way to start is in the medieval town of Assisi,  which has been declared a Unesco World Heritage Site. You will be enchanted by its beauty, which has remained intact over the centuries, and by the sense of peace and tranquillity as you go around the town.

Most people visit Assisi on foot, but we advise you to explore it by bike together with your friends or family, following a simple route which is suitable even for those who haven't had much training.

The 'Bike Tour of the Unesco Sites of Assisi' is 22 km long. It starts from Viole, a charming little village on the outskirts, and brings you into Assisi through the Porta Nuova town gates. It then passes the Church of St. Clare, the main square (Piazza del Comune), the Basilica of St. Francis, the Church of St. Damian, the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and St. Mary's Church in Rivotorto, before bringing you back to your starting point.

All details of the itinerary and descriptions of the places to visit can be found and freely downloaded from this page (see above)

If you don't have a bike, or if you are in a group and someone is without a bike, you can ask us for either a bicycle or an electric bike. We will bring it to the starting point of the tour for you. If you would like someone to accompany you on the tour, once a week (usually at the weekend) this tour is led by an expert guide.
