eno-gastronomic holiday is a travel through the culinary tradition of
the beautiful Valle Umbra, a fertile valley with many waterways
surrounded by a backdrop of green hills covered with vineyards and olive
groves. In this valley we find the well-known small medieval towns of Assisi,
Montefalco, Bevagna and Spello, but also larger cities such as Perugia,
the capital of the province crossed by the river Tiber, and Spoleto, lying at the foot of the green wooded Monteluco.
will stay the first days in an eco-accommodation along the babbling
river Clitunno located between Trevi, Bevagna and Montefalco. In the
fine dining restaurant are used local products such as truffles,
mushrooms, veal and extra-virgin olive oil. You will be accompanied for searching herbs in the
fields and aftwerwards you have a cookery course, where herbs are used.
Umbria is famous for its truffles and you can't leave this lovely region
without truffle hunting experience. You have a lunch to taste the
truffle you found.
A second cookery course will take place in a restaurant in
Spello: you will prepare an antipasto, primo, secondo e dolce, which you
will taste during lunch.
in the country house
country house is a farmhouse dating back to the 18th century. It
is recently entirely renovated to the standards of a
eco-architecture: the use of natural and recycled materials, and
solar panels for energy. There are 6 lovely apartments of
various sizes, a restaurant, garden, saltwater pool and car
park. If you arrive early you could visit Trevi or Spoleto, a nice town
with many monuments to visit like the cathedral with fresco’s
of Fra. Filippo Lippi, the roman house, the castle and aqueduct Ponte delle
Torri or Trevi, set on a panoramic hill with view over olive
and diner in your country house.

the morning you are free to explore the surrounding medieval
towns like Bevagna, Montefalco or Spoleto. Around 14.00 you will
search for herbs in the fields with Prof. Loschi, specialized in
fresh herbs. Later
in the afternoon you haver a cookery course ‘Umbrian
cookery’ where some of the herbs will be cooked. In
the evening during dinner you will taste the delicious dishes
prepared during the course

breakfast you go to the meeting point with the truffle hunter.
Together with his dogs you search for truffles in the hills of
Trevi. In the field you will taste fresh truffle with scrambled
eggs. Then you visit a local, small dairy farm, where fresh
pecorino is made. You have a full lunch with truffle &
typical Umbrian dishes.

where chef Maurizio wil give you a cooking lesson. You will
prepare an antipasto, primo, secondo and dolce, which you will
taste during lunch. Instead, on request, of the cooking lesson
you can also book for a
wine course of a sommelier in which you learn to taste wines and
combine them with food !
In the afternoon you could also visit Assisi, a town where history, traditions and art are fused together in harmony.
You can enjoy wandering through the alleys, stepped streets and
crossing the squares with many terraces, inviting you to enjoy a
delicious Italian ‘gelato’ or drink a hot cappuccino. There
is much to see such as the basilicas of St. Francis and St.
Clare, the castle, many museums and the forum romanum. You get a
description of a cultural walking tour that takes you along the
most important monuments of the city.
